TAMPA, FL — Three puppies were rescued after wedging themselves under some metal beams at a Tampa recycling company and getting stuck.

After being notified of the puppies' plight, the Humane Society of Tampa Bay sent its rescue team to pry the puppies out. The puppies are about 9 weeks old. They are shepherd and pitbull mixes born to two feral dogs in the area.

"When our rescue team brought them to our shelter, one of the pups had facial swelling and there were a ton of fleas and red ants everywhere," said the Humane Society in a Facebook post. "These poor nuggets were covered in mud from the rain and ant bites. However, they are all healed now and all in loving forever homes."
