Road Closures Announced For 2017 Sant’Yago Knight Parade

The streets of Ybor City will be affected during the night-time parade this weekend.

TAMPA, FL – While the main Gasparilla festival took place a couple of weeks ago, the party continues this weekend in Ybor City for the 2017 Sant’Yago Illuminated Knight Parade.

For people looking to attend the parade on Saturday, Feb. 11 – or to avoid them – the City of Tampa has announced road closures, parking and public transportation options during the event. While the parade is scheduled to start at 7 p.m., road closures will begin at 2 p.m.

The road closure schedule for the 2017 Sant’Yago Illuminated Knight Parade is:

2 p.m.

  • Nuccio Parkway from Nebraska Avenue to Palm Avenue
  • Seventh Avenue from Nebraska Avenue to Nuccio Parkway

4 p.m.

  • Seventh Avenue from Nuccio Parkway to 21st Street
  • Seventh Avenue from 22nd Street to 34th Street

7 p.m.

  • Seventh Avenue from 21st Street to 22nd Street
  • 21st Street from Palm Avenue to Sixth Street
  • 22nd Street from Adamo Drive to Eighth Avenue

The following options are recommended by the City of Tampa for parking for the 2017 Knight Parade:

  • Centro Ybor Garage, 1500 E. Fifth Avenue – Beginning at 2 p.m., there will be a fixed rate of $5 paid on entry
  • Palm Avenue Garage, 2010 N. 13th St. – Beginning at 2 p.m., there will be a fixed rate of $5 paid on entry.
  • Lots 3, 5 and 6 (19th Street between Eighth Avenue and Sixth Avenue) – Hourly rate of $1 per hour

The City of Tampa also recommends the option of parking in Downtown Tampa or the Channelside District and using the TECO Line Streetcar System to Ybor City. Streetcar service north of Seventh Avenue will suspend service beginning at 6:30 p.m. until after the parade ends.
