HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, FL – Law enforcement officials arrested three convicted felons and issued 42 warrants between Monday and Wednesday this week as part of an operation focused on the compliance of career criminals.

Earlier this week, members of the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office Warrant Section visited the residences of 280 career offenders. Career offenders are identified as people who, because of their violent criminal history, is designated by a judge to register their address in the Career Offender Application for Statewide Tracking, according to officials.

The 280 people were identified after they failed to confirm their addresses, which is a requirement under the Florida Career Offender Registration Act. According to officials, 42 people were not living at the residences they listed so felony warrants were issued.
