Man Arrested After Shots Fired At Tampa Riverwalk
Tampa police detectives said they were able to identify Kareem Malik Hernandez Jr., 20, as the person who fired shots at the Riverwalk.

TAMPA, FL — After receiving multiple tips from the community, Tampa police detectives said they were able to identify Kareem Malik Hernandez Jr., 20, as the person who shot a someone in the hand in the early morning hours on Saturday at the Tampa Riverwalk.
According to detectives, Hernandez and a group of friends were walking south on the Riverwalk when a verbal altercation broke out with another group of people.
After the two groups separated, Hernandez shot at the other group, striking one person in the hand. The injured person was treated at the hospital.

Witnesses identified Hernandez as the shooter.
During an interview, Hernandez also identified himself in the surveillance video.

He was charged with aggravated battery with deadly weapon and carrying a concealed firearm.
