Solid Waste Schedule Altered for Labor Day

If you're making Labor Day plans, make note of the solid waste schedule for next week.

Here's some information from City of Tampa officials:

The collection schedule for City of Tampa customers with regularly scheduled collection day on Monday, September 2, will be affected by the Labor Day Holiday. The modified holiday collection schedule is as follows: 

• Residential: There will be no garbage, yard-waste recycling, or blue-box/green cart recycling collection on Monday, September 2. Garbage collection will resume on the next scheduled service day, Thursday, September 5, 2013, and blue box/green cart recycling and yard waste collection will resume on Monday, September 9.

• Commercial: Commercial accounts scheduled for service onMonday, September 2, 2013 will be serviced on Tuesday, September 3. Collection will run one day behind for the remainder of the week. Normal collection schedules will resume on Monday, September 9.
