Tampa Bay Rays Playoffs: Last Minute Tickets Available

TAMPA, FL — Tampa Bay playoff baseball is here to stay after the team easily handled the Oakland Athletics in the one game American League Wildcard. The Rays now turn its attention to the Houston Astros and tickets are still available for the entirety of the series.

Tampa Bay is coming off a fantastic year, finishing with a 96-66 record, and proving early season doubters wrong with its sustained success.

The small market underdog is one of six teams left standing in the pursuit of the World Series, and the squad only had a 28.2 percent chance of making the playoffs in the beginning of the year, according to FanGraphs.

The names aren't exactly household, but Blake Snell, Austin Meadows, Tyler Glasnow, Willy Adames and Brandon Lowe all had a fantastic 2018-19 season. Rays Manager Kevin Cash has said right-hander Glasnow will get the nod in Game 1 against the Astros.

The 26-year-old Glasnow will be followed up by Snell in Game 2, and then AL Wildcard Game Hero Charlie Morton in Game 3.

"I don't think it can hurt to have confidence and feel like you've got a little bit of magic on your side going into this thing," third baseman Matt Duffy told reports prior to the Rays' wild-card victory.

The Astros might be the heavy favorites, but don't rule our Rays out yet.
