Tampa Man Charged After 4-Hour Standoff With Police
A Tampa man has been arrested after police said he assaulted a neighbor and then barricaded himself inside his home Tuesday morning.
TAMPA, FL — A Tampa man has been arrested after police said he assaulted a neighbor and then barricaded himself inside his home Tuesday morning.
At 2:43 a.m., Tampa police were called to the 2700 block of East 12th Avenue for a report of a man barricaded inside his home.
Police were told that 41-year-old Dandre Lee got into an argument with his neighbor that escalated. Officers said Lee pistol whipped the other man in the head and fired shots into the air.

The neighbor was taken to the hospital with injuries that aren't life-threatening.
Following negotiations with Lee, he gave himself up to police at 6:30 a.m.

He was taken to the Hillsborough County Jail where he was charged with aggravated battery and felon in possession of a firearm.
