Tampa Police Seek Leads In Gunshot Death Of Man Thursday Morning

Tampa police detectives are seeking leads after a man died of a gunshot wound during the early morning hours Thursday.

TAMPA, FL — Tampa police detectives are seeking leads after a man died of a gunshot wound during the early morning hours Thursday.

At 2:27 a.m., officers responded to a report of gunshots in the 2400 block of East Columbus Drive and found a man with a gunshot wound. He was taken to the hospital where he died.

While it is very early in the investigation, police said this does not appear to be a random act.
