Tampa Woman Dies After Being Struck Then Dragged By Moving Car
Tampa police have arrested a 29-year-old woman accused of running over another woman with her car, killing her, then driving away.

TAMPA, FL — Tampa police have arrested a 29-year-old woman accused of running over another woman with her car, killing her, then driving away.
According to police, around 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, Queenasia Powell was in the driver's seat of a gray Honda Accord in the 10100 block of North 11th Street when she placed the car in reverse and accelerated backward, striking a woman standing nearby and dragging her under the car.
Police said Powell then got out of the car, pulled the woman from under the vehicle and fled the scene though the woman had serious injuries and ultimately died.

Powell was quickly apprehended and charged with DUI manslaughter, leaving the scene of a crash with a death and driving without a valid driver’s license with a death. When questioned, she admitted to running over the woman.
