1. Tampa Bay is under a storm watch as Tropical Storm Elsa moves closer to the area. A storm surge watch has been issued for the west coast of Florida from Bonita Beach north to the Suwannee River with estimates of a storm surge ranging from 2 to 4 feet above normal tide levels. (Patch)

2. U.S. Air Force Maj. Joshua “Cabo” Gunderson, who graduated from Bloomingdale High School in Valrico, appears briefly in an upcoming film “The Tomorrow War” on Amazon Prime. (Creative Loafing Tampa)
3. A Tampa police officer shot and killed a suspect who pointed a gun at him during a foot chase Sunday night, police said. Police will release body-worn camera video from the scene. (Tampa Bay Times)
