Valspar Hosts Contest To Locate Spot For Colorful Mural
The Valspar Championship will take place April 26 to May 2 at the Innisbrook Resort's Copperhead Course in Palm Harbor.

After a long and stressful 2020, everyone could use a little brightening up. That’s why Valspar has created the Back to Bright initiative, starting this week in Tampa Bay – the home of the Valspar Championship.
Valspar is seeking nominations for spots in Tampa Bay that could use some brightening up.

Twitter contest #ValsparBackToBright – submit your 140-character entry using the hashtag along with a short video explaining why this spot in your community deserves a brightening up.
Once the star-studded selection committee, which includes Tampa Bay Bucs legend Ronde Barber and NBC golf analyst Gary Koch chooses the winning location, a local artist will work to create a one-of-a-kind mural to inspire the community to bring back its brightness.

The deadline for nominations is March 7 and the winning location will be announced March 10.
Just a few things to keep in mind when submitting nominations:
- Artist Safety Restrictions – to keep the artist safe, choose a location that is grounded, like an outside wall of a building, rather than a water tower or bridge.
- The location needs to be in the Tampa Bay area where mural installations are permitted.
- Nominate spaces no larger than 800 square feet
