Tampa Muay Thai, 808 N. Howard Ave., Tampa, will host a Bangkok Bash, an action-packed night of amateur Muay Thai fights, Saturday, Aug. 17 at 5 p.m. Then, keep the party going at the Official After Party hosted by Irish 31 in Hyde Park. Everyone who shows their Bangkok Bash ticket at Irish 31 following the fights that night will receive one free domestic draft. Tickets are $25 in advance and may be purchased online at www.tampamuaythai.com or in person at the gym. A portion of the proceeds will benefit Rugaz Rescue for pit bulls.

Teacher Appreciation Day
The Henry B. Plant Museum, 401 W. Kennedy Blvd., Tampa, at the University of Tampa invites teachers and their families to visit the museum for free Saturday, Aug. 17 starting at 10 a.m. Teachers can explore the museum at their leisure, learn about field trip opportunities in 2013-14, enjoy the museum's in-depth, self-guided audio tour, and participate in a special walk-through at 1 p.m. with by Curator of Education Heather Brown. Teachers also may view the award-winning, 14-minute historical video on “Florida’s First Magic Kingdom” and investigate the new exhibit, The Language of Jewelry.
Icona Pop On Stage
The electro-pop duo, Icona Pop, will perform Sunday, Aug. 18 at 8 p.m. at The Ritz Ybor, 1503 E. 7th Ave., Tampa. Tickets are $23.
Vanilla Ice At Blue Martini
Vanilla Ice and DJ Johnny Quest will be at the Blue Martini Lounge, 2223 West Shore Blvd., Tampa, Saturday, Aug. 17 at 7 p.m. and Sunday, Aug. 18 at 3 p.m. Best known as one of the first white rappers, Vanilla Ice is moving toward a hardcore rock style. Tickets are $20.
The Tampa Museum of Art, 120 W. Gasparilla Plaza, Tampa, offers Art on the House each Friday from 4 to 8 p.m. Art on the House provides access to the museum galleries free of charge.
The Dubliner Irish Pub, 2307 W. Azeele St., Tampa, hosts Art After Dark each Sunday from 6 to 10 p.m. The event features craft beer, an art show, art demonstrations and live music.
Tate's Pizzeria & Sports Bar, 927 S. Howard Ave., Tampa, hosts an outdoor movie night each Thursday and Friday night on its 12-foot movie screen.
Saturday Storytime
Barnes & Noble Booksellers, 213 N. Dale Mabry Highway, Tampa, hosts a weekly story hour for kids Saturdays at 11 a.m.
The Tampa Downtown Sunday Market is held each Sunday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the 600 and 700 blocks of Franklin Street. More than 50 vendors sell produce, art, specialty food and crafts.
