'Wich, Please!' Eatery Set To Open At Sparkman Wharf In July
Tampa restaurateur Dave Burton announced his second concept at Water Street Tampa's dining destination.

TAMPA, FL— Tampa restaurateur Dave Burton, already known for his sandwich creations at his restaurant, Flock and Stock, is turning the sandwich-making business up a notch.
Burton announced that he will open a creative sandwich shop, called “Wich, Please!”, in the dining garden at Sparkman Wharf in July.
The new creative sandwich eatery marks Burton’s second restaurant at Sparkman Wharf, making him the first to operate two container concepts simultaneously at Water Street Tampa’s vibrant waterfront destination.

“Sparkman Wharf has become one of the region’s top culinary destinations, and as a Tampa native, I’m thrilled to be part of its growth,” said Burton, CEO of Burton Holdings. “We were honored to be part of the initial dining garden with our first restaurant, Flock and Stock, and are proud to support the evolution with ‘Wich, Please!’ We look forward to sharing our delicious and approachable menu with the Tampa community this summer.”
“Wich, Please!” will serve gourmet sandwiches, fresh salads and creative snack smorgasbords, as well as beer and wine. The menu is designed around community, with sharable plates and adventurous pairings to bring friends and family together.

“Flock and Stock has been a favorite restaurant since it opened with us, and we’re pleased to work with Dave again and introduce this exciting addition to Sparkman Wharf. 'Wich, Please!' brings another diverse dining option to serve the Tampa community,” said Susan Martin, vice president of retail and place management at Strategic Property Partners, the developer of Water Street Tampa.
In addition to Flock and Stock and “Wich, Please!”, Burton owns several successful restaurants throughout Tampa, including GenX Tavern and Tampa Pizza Company. He was also named the Christine Burdick Downtown Tampa Person of the Year in 2019 by the Tampa Downtown Partnership.
In the past, he was involved with the growth and development of Holy Hog BBQ, SoFresh and The Getaway.
Situated on Tampa’s waterfront, Sparkman Wharf is a central community gathering place featuring a 1-acre park surrounded by ground-level retail and loft-style office space. The central park is home to a dining garden and recreation lawn programmed with community events.
“Wich, Please!” joins restaurants and retailers including Flock and Stock, Jeni’s Ice Cream, Joyful Notion, Splitsville, F45, Jotoro, Naked Farmer, Edison’s Swigamajig, Gallito, Fermented Reality, Main Ingredient, Modern Paws, Fit Bowl Co.
