Ashley Furniture Mogul Buys Snell Isle Mansion

The man who started Ashley Furniture – and is ranked as the 321st richest person in America – has new digs.

Ron Wanek and his wife, Joyce, are moving in to an $8 million mansion on Snell Isle's most exclusive road: Brightwaters Boulevard, according to the Tampa Bay Business Journal.

Just what will the couple get for their money?

The two story waterfront mansion at 1781 Brightwaters Boulevard boasts an elevator, pool and dock with spectacular views of Tampa Bay.

The nine-year-old home has eight bathrooms, and more than 10,000 square feet of space.

But the couple is no stranger to Snell Isle. They already own two homes there, according to the Times.  

The price tag of the home sale recently caught attention, since it is the highest price paid for a Pinellas County home since 2011.
