Does Snell Isle Need a Gated Community?
The micro-gated community will feature just four homes, with the starting price at $1.5 million.
In the exclusive Snell Isle community, many of the homes themselves are gated.
Nevertheless, a micro-gated community called Coffee Pot Estates is planned for Snell Isle, according to the Tampa Bay Times. Three of the four house lots already are "reserved," according to the developer.
Located at 526 Monterey Blvd. NE, the custom-built homes should fit in just fine, alongside the million-dollar-plus manses on Snell Isle.

Selling prices will run from $1.5 million to $2.3 million, the Tampa Bay Times is reporting.
Real estate agent Bonnie Strickland of Re/Max Metro, and her husband, Tom, bought the property where the homes will be built, according to the Tampa Bay Times.
Strickland told the Tampa Bay Times that she sees this development in the small island community as a "once-in-a-lifetime opportunity... This market is just screaming full steam ahead."
