4th Annual St. Catherine's School of Fine Arts Summer Camp

4th Annual St. Catherine's School of Fine Arts Summer Camp

The 4th Annual St. Catherine’s SCHOOL OF FINE ARTS SUMMER CAMP will be held June 27 - July 1, and is open to students who live in Temple Terrace and have just completed first through fifth grade. Campers will enjoy music, art, dance and drama, and will be instructed by professional teachers, assisted by volunteers who are members of the church and have had required training. There will be morning snacks, lunch, and afternoon snacks, as well as indoor and outdoor activities during the lunch break.

Participants must live within five miles of St. Catherine of Alexandria Episcopal Church, 502 Druid Hills Rd. Although there is no grant to cover free tuition this year, for those able, the cost will be $100 per camper for the entire week, with a $25 pre-registration fee. Scholarships will be available for those who demonstrate financial need. Attendance is limited to 40 children who plan to attend the entire week. The program will run from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day.

The summer camp began as a joint project with The Rev. Susan J. Latimer, Rector, and Rebekah Brall, Director of the School of Fine Arts at St. Catherine’s for the purpose of sharing creative experiences in the arts with children who otherwise might not have this opportunity. To apply for the camp, call to speak with Manon Alewynse, Steering Committee Member at 813-507-1334, or leave a voicemail any time and the application with further information will be sent.
