Amazon Opening 2 Delivery Stations, Bringing Hundreds Of Jobs
The new delivery stations will power the last mile of Amazon's order process for customers in Hillsborough County.

TAMPA, FL — Amazon has announced the opening of two new delivery stations in the Tampa area.
The new delivery stations will power the last mile of Amazon’s order process and help increase efficiency of deliveries for customers in Hillsborough County.
Amazon expects the new sites to open later in 2021 and 2022. One will be located at 6384 Harney Road in Tampa and the other will be at 13010 Bay Industrial Drive, Gibsonton.

Packages will be shipped to delivery stations from neighboring Amazon fulfillment and sortation centers, and loaded into vehicles for final delivery to customers.
The two delivery stations will create hundreds of new, full-time jobs, paying a $15 per hour starting wage and offering a variety of benefits packages, according to Amazon.

The delivery stations also will offer entrepreneurs the opportunity to build their own businesses delivering Amazon packages, as well as independent contractors the flexibility to be their own boss and create their own schedule delivering for Amazon Flex.
"Hillsborough County is well-suited to support the expansion of the distribution and logistics sector due to our many business advantages, growing population, and our unique geographic location along the I-4 corridor," said Kimberly Overman, vice chairwoman of the Hillsborough County Commission. "We’re grateful for Amazon’s continued expansion and investment in Hillsborough County."
"Our distribution and logistics sector is growing by leaps and bounds as our population continues to grow and residents turn more to e-commerce for the purchase of their goods," said Jim Weiss, chairman of the Tampa Bay Economic Development Council. "Amazon has actively been expanding in Hillsborough County for the past several years with new fulfillment centers and delivery stations. We appreciate their continued commitment to bring new jobs and investment to our community."
"We are excited to continue our investment in Florida with new delivery stations across Hillsborough County will create hundreds of new job opportunities and provide faster and more efficient delivery for customers," said Amazon spokesman Owen Torres.
