April Griffin contributions: only $9,860.00 April Griffin Deposition: Priceless

As of July 7 incumbent Hillsborough County school board member April Griffin had only $9,860 in campaign contributions as compared to her challenger Dipa Shah who has almost 9 times as much at $88,144. Griffin’s paltry contributions are probably the result of her disturbing lawsuit deposition in the tragic death of 7 year old student Isabella Herrera which can be read at this link.

Any candidate running against April Griffin would probably want to carry a copy of this deposition with them at all times and discuss it at their campaign events as it is an unsettling account of our dysfunctional school board and administration. Read about it at this link.

Given all of the disturbing revelations in these depositions, you might wonder why the school board has never had a workshop or otherwise formally acknowledged or addressed these depositions and the severe problems described in them.
