ICYMI: Bass Pro Shops Sets Opening Date
The grand opening kicks off with a celebration.
Tampa Bay area residents eager to check out the new 140,000-square-foot Bass Pro Shops Outdoor World in Brandon will be able to soon.
The company has announced a Wednesday, July 29 opening. Festivities get under way at 6 p.m.
“The event will feature an exciting list of guests and pros from the world of sports, entertainment, and the great outdoors,” a media release states. “After a short ceremony and ribbon cutting, the doors will open around 6:30 p.m.”

The opening event is free and open to the public.
The new store will feature a 13,000-gallon freshwater aquarium, a lodge-style entrance, fireplace, local artifacts, wildlife mounts and other attractions. Those features are in addition to the hunting, fishing, camping and outdoor gear Bass Pro is famed for. The Brandon location will also offer a 7,000-square-foot Islamorada Fish Company restaurant.

The store is located at 10501 Palm River Road.
