Man Charged With Vehicular Manslaughter In Death Of Oncologist
Temple Terrace Police have charged a man with vehicular manslaughter in the death of an H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center oncologist March 28.

TEMPLE TERRACE, FL -- Temple Terrrace Police have charged a man with vehicular manslaughter in the death of an H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center oncologist March 28.
Police arrested Igbinosa Oghubor, 35, of Tampa, Sunday in connection with the fiery three-car crash that killed Dr. Charles Williams, Jr., 70, of Temple Terrace.
Williams was headed to work at about 7:30 a.m. and was stopped at a red traffic signal on Gillette and Fowler avenues near his home. When the signal turned green, Williams proceeded north into the intersection and was immediately struck on the driver’s side by Oghubor’s car (see related story.)

Oghubor was driving a 2014 Dodge Charger east on Fowler Avenue in the center lane. The police department’s reconstruction of the crash calculated Oghubor’s speed to be at least 95 miles per hour. The Dodge’s data recorder revealed that Oghubor’s speed five seconds before impact ranged from 87 to 93 miles per hour.
Using this information, Temple Terrace Police obtained an arrest warrant charging Oghubor with
vehicular manslaughter. Oghubor was taken into custody Sunday, July 1, at the Orlando International Airport as he returned to the United States from a trip abroad.

Oghubor is currently being held in the Orange County jail in lieu of a $75,000 bond.
