Moffitt Cancer Center Unveils Mall Pop-Up Location
University Mall shoppers can now learn more about cancer in between stops at their favorite stores.

TAMPA, FL — In between stops at restaurants and major retailers, University Mall shoppers will now be able to up their game in the cancer prevention department. Moffitt Cancer Center has announced the opening of a brand new pop-up location at the mall.
The new location is a partnership between Moffitt Cancer Center and the mall “to provide a place for the community to come for a more informal and relaxed atmosphere for cancer education,” Moffitt announced in a media release.
The pop-up site is located between Jimmy Jazz and Cinderella Bridal at the 2200 E. Fowler Ave. mall. The site’s grand opening and ribbon cutting are set for Friday, Oct. 21 from 6 to 8 p.m.

Moffitt plans to use its Community Outreach and Educational Center for three main purposes:
- Workshops on prevention and survivorship
- Providing information on available services and innovations in cancer research and treatment
- Helping people navigate Moffitt and other health resources that might be available to them
