Police Seek Information On Shooting That Injured Child

TEMPLE TERRACE, FL — Temple Terrace Police are seeking information on a drive-by shooting in which a child was struck by a bullet in her home.

On Tuesday, May 12 at 9:35 p.m., the Temple Terrace Police Department received a report of a shooting in the area of Grove Hill Road and Shirley Drive. The caller said someone fired several rounds in their direction and fled the area in an unknown model of vehicle.

At 11:15 p.m. that same night, the Temple Terrace Police Department received another report of gunshots fired at 8690 Boardwalk Trail Drive. The caller said someone shot into their home and a bullet struck a child. The girl was taken to Tampa General Hospital where she is in stable condition.

Temple Terrace Police detectives are searching for a white, late-model Jeep that may have been involved in both shootings.
