Ponderous Pachyderms Host Their Own World Cup

If the FIFA World Cup was a bit too kinetic for you to follow, here's a slow-mo recap from the elephants at Busch Gardens.

TAMPA, FL -- If the FIFA World Cup was a bit too kinetic for you to follow, here's a slo-mo recap from the elephants at Busch Gardens Tampa Bay.

In the final game in the Brew Club at the Serengeti Overlook, the big guy with the ball represents France while the passive pachyderm player on the sidelines stands in for Croatia.

According to the zookeepers at Busch Gardens, the park's elephants love a good game of soccer. It stimulates their minds, sense of smell and foraging ability.

Not to be outdone, the rhinos and zebras at ZooTampa at Lowry Park hosted their own World Cup. Unlike the elephants at Busch Gardens, the ZooTampa animals didn't quite understand the point of the game. But the rhinos had a great time destroying the goals.
