Sesame Street Characters On Parade At Busch Gardens
The Tampa theme park is playing host to two weekends of Sesame Street special events for its littlest guests.

TAMPA, FL — Tampa Bay area parents with little Sesame Street fans on their hands might want to put a stop at Busch Gardens on their agendas this month. The theme park has announced three upcoming special events featuring Cookie Monster, Elmo, Abby Cadabby and other favorites from the popular children’s show.
Sesame Street Kids’ Weekend events are set for May 14-15 and May 21-22. Taking place in the Sesame Street Safari of Fun area of the park, the events will feature parades, dance parties, animal encounters and special guests. Those guests, Busch Gardens says, include Big Bird, Bert, Ernie and other characters from the beloved children’s show along with “surprise appearances from Telly and Baby Bear,” an email from the park said.
The fun kicks off each weekend at 2 p.m. and runs until 5 p.m. The theme May 14-15 involves all things Cookie Monster and guests will be able to “share some scrumptious cookies with the connoisseur himself,” the park promises.

May 21-22’s theme is “Rubber-Duckie.” Kids who visit the park that weekend will be able to go on a scavenger hunt for Ernie’s Rubber Duckies throughout the park’s Safari of Fun play area.
“Character parades will take place at the top of every hour of the event,” parks officials said. “Plus, guests can expect kid-friendly music along with the chance to meet with Busch Gardens’ animal ambassadors.”
