THONOTOSASSA, FL -- A 63-year-old Tampa man has died following an accident on U.S. 301 north of Elyssa Road in Thonotosassa Friday.According to the Florida Highway Patrol, at 8 a.m. Mark D. Vendeboe was driving a Chrysler PT Cruiser south on U.S. 301 when he entered the northbound lane and collided nearly head on with a Dodge pickup truck driven by Michael Antonio Ramos, 22, of Sarasota. Vendeboe died at the scene. Ramos and his passenger, 53-year-old Armando Ramos-Rosas, were taken to Tampa General Hospital with serious injuries.
