Tampa Woman Dies Following Crash On 56th Street
A 44-year-old Tampa woman has died following an accident Wednesday night at North 56th and Diana streets.

TEMPLE TERRACE, FL — A 44-year-old Tampa woman has died following an accident Wednesday night at North 56th and Diana streets.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, at 7:25 p.m. a car driven by a 45-year-old Tampa man was traveling north on 56th Street approaching Diana Street south of King High School.
A 56-year-old Plant City man was traveling south on 56th Street in a car and began to make a left turn onto Diana Street, entering the path of the northbound car.

Upon impact, the northbound car rotated, crashed through a pedestrian handrail and landed in a drainage culvert.
The southbound car rotated and came to rest on the sidewalk.

A passenger in the northbound car was killed. The driver sustained serious injuries.
The Plant City man sustained minor injuries.
Due to Marsy's Law, approved by Florida voters in 2018 to
protect the identities of crime victims, the Florida Highway Patrol has chosen
to no longer release the names of those involved in traffic accidents.
