Temple Terrace City Manager Announces Retirement
Gerald Seeber is ending his 40-year career in May.
TEMPLE TERRACE, FL — Temple Terrace City Manager Gerald Seeber has announced plans for retirement.
Seeber, who has served as city manager for three years, will hang up his hat on May 5.
“I have worked in city management for 40 years,” Seeber said in an statement released Friday. “I like this work; I always have. I am at a point in my life where it’s just time for me to do something else with my time.”

Seeber, 62, was named city manager in April 2013 after serving five years at Tampa Bay Water in Clearwater.
He says he intends to spend more time with family.

“My wife and I have children in Florida, Colorado and Illinois, and we have siblings in Connecticut, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Florida that we want to see more frequently than we have in the past,” he said. “We have a long bucket list, and we are planning to start working on that list May 6.”
The city plans to kick off a national search for Seeber’s replacement in mid-February.
