Temple Terrace Firefighters To Host Benefit Cornhole Tournament
The Temple Terrace Fire Department is seeking sponsors and participants for its upcoming benefit cornhole tournament.
TEMPLE TERRACE, FL -- The Temple Terrace Fire Department is seeking sponsors and participants for its upcoming benefit cornhole tournament, Battle of the Bags, June 2 from 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at Fuzzy's Taco Shop, 5621 E. Fowler Ave., Temple Terrace.
The fire department is raising funds for the family of firefighter Jesse Oats. On March 10, his 19-year-old daughter, Jelessa, was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia, an acute form of leukemia that spreads rapidly.
There are three sponsorship levels available: gold, silver and bronze, ranging from $75 to $500.

The cost to participate is $50 per team.
All proceeds will go to Jelessa Oats' treatment for AML. In addition, Fuzzy's Taco Shop is donating 15 percent of its sales the day of the event. Registration is available online.

In addition, friends are raising money for her treatment through a Go Fund Me site.
