Temple Terrace Invites Residents To End Summer With A Bang

Celebrate the unofficial end of summer in Temple Terrace on Saturday, Sept. 1 with fireworks and fun.

TEMPLE TERRACE, FL. - Celebrate the unofficial end of summer in Temple Terrace on Saturday, Sept. 1 with fireworks and fun.

The festivities begin at 5:30 p.m. in historic Woodmont Park, 407 Woodmont Ave., and the pyrotechnics are planned for 9 p.m. Admission is free and open to all.

The Temple Terrace Labor Day celebration will include food trucks offering barbecue, pizza, kettle corn, cupcakes and other foods. Live entertainment featuring the Southern Creek Band will start at 6 p.m., with a special performance by the King High School Drumline at 7 p.m.

Local favorites Pete & RePete will host a free holiday-themed arts and crafts project for children, and Sand Art activities will be available for a nominal charge.

There also will be free bounce houses and a photo booth.

The fireworks display, rescheduled from July 4 when it was cancelled due to inclement weather, will begin at 9 p.m. across the street from the park on the first fairway of the Temple Terrace Golf and Country Club, 200 Inverness Ave.

The event is being hosted by the city of Temple Terrace with support from the Greater Temple Terrace Chamber of Commerce and Elite Choice Home Group/Keller Williams Realty.
