Temple Terrace Invites Residents To Get Social On Selfie Day
For the first time, the city of Temple Terrace will join in the fun, competing against other Florida jurisdictions for bragging rights.

TEMPLE TERRACE, FL. -- Wednesday, Aug. 15 is National City Hall Selfie Day, an event designed to socially engage residents and visitors with their municipal governments.
While the program is nationally recognized, the Florida League of Cities has its own statewide program.
For the first time, the city of Temple Terrace will join in the fun, competing against other Florida jurisdictions for good-natured bragging rights. Temple Terrace neighbors, friends and families are encouraged to join with city staff and elected officials to visit City Hall, 11250 N. 56th St., and post their selfies anytime on that day.

Participants will have the option of taking their photos in a special photo stand depicting the early days of the city that will be placed outside of present-day City Hall. Members of the Temple Terrace Preservation Society, dressed in garb from the city's early years, also will be on site between 10 a.m. and noon, giving visitors another photo op possibility.
There will be prize drawings with winners randomly selected from posts with the designated hashtags.
