Temple Terrace To Observe National Night Out With Free Event

Temple Terrace will observe National Night Out 2019 on Oct. 1 with a free community event at Mission Hill Church from 6 to 8 p.m.

TEMPLE TERRACE, FL — Temple Terrace will observe National Night Out 2019 on Oct. 1 with a free community event at Mission Hill Church, 10002 N. 56th St. from 6 to 8 p.m.

The event will feature food from local restaurants, sand art and face painting for the kids, demonstrations by the Temple Terrace Police SWAT and K9 teams and a demonstration with the Florida Highway Patrol vehicle rollover simulator.

Members of the police and fire department will be on hand to meet with residents, take photos, answer questions and discuss ways to create a safer Temple Terrace.

Those planning to host their own National Night Out block party are invited to notify the police department at 813-506-6500 so officers can stop by and meet the neighbors.

The free National Night Out event is being funded with the help of a $500 donation from Tampa Electric.
