Temple Terrace Residents Invited To Pop In To Safety Pop-Up

On Tuesday, Oct. 30. from 7 to 11 a.m., residents are invited to drop by the pop-up tent to discuss bicycle safety initiatives.

TEMPLE TERRACE, FL -- A Pop-Up for Safety event is coming to Temple Terrace during Mobility Week 2018.

On Tuesday, Oct. 30. from 7 to 11 a.m., residents are invited to drop by the pop-up tent at Busch Boulevard and 56th Street to discuss what is being done to improve safety for people who walk and ride bicycles along Busch Boulevard.

Local leaders also will be on hand at 8 a.m. to discuss Temple Terrace's new safety initiative.

Speakers will include David Gwynn, Florida Department of Transportation District Seven secretary; Temple Terrace Police Chief Kenneth R. Albano; Dr. Robert L. Bertini, director of the Center for Urban Transportation Research; and Jonathan Forbes, chairman of the Hillsborough County Bicycle Pedestrian Advisory Committee.

Those attending will get free bicycle lights installed on their bikes as well as other safety items.
