Best-selling Fla author's storytime in Jensen Beach

Open to the public, free coloring and other activities also included

Florida author, Sherry Duquet will be reading her best-selling new book, "Violet the Hugging Octopus" for children’s storytime and activities on Saturday, April 13th beginning at 11:30 a.m. The event takes place on the storytime stage inside the Barnes & Noble in Treasure Coast Commons, 3001 NW Federal Highway, Jensen Beach, Fl. 34957.

In the book, readers meet Violet, the hugging octopus, swimming with confidence and bursting with joy. Along the way, Violet greets her friends Pufferfish, Moray Eel, Jumbo Shrimp and Stinging Ray. She is outlandishly happy which excites their curiosity. What is her secret? How is she so happy? Her friends wonder, can they be that happy too?

Immediately following the reading, children and adults are welcome to participate in enjoying “Violet” themed coloring pages, puzzles and positivity posting. Ms. Duquet will be on hand in the store to sign copies of “Violet the Hugging Octopus” and to answer questions about the book and her journey as a Florida author.

Duquet said, “Learning or re-learning how to love ourselves is a valuable tool for all ages and I can’t wait to share it with new friends in Jensen Beach.” The book will be available for purchase in store and attendees are encouraged to have the author personalize it for them or for others.
