Carmine’s Gourmet Market partners with American Cancer Society

Palm Beach – March 18, 2021 – Carmine’s Gourmet Market in Palm Beach Gardens is committed to the fight against cancer and donated $6,500 to the American Cancer Society’s ResearcHERS Campaign, which raises funds to support women-led cancer research.

“As a Grandfather of four granddaughters and one great-granddaughter, I believe in the intelligence, commitment, and ability of women to change the world,” said Carmine Giardini, owner of Carmine’s Gourmet Market. “I understand that research is essential to improve outcomes, and I believe that women’s perspective can bring new approaches.”

American Cancer Society’s newest cancer research campaign, ResearcHERS, is a movement that engages community leaders to raise funds to support cancer researchers directly – women cancer researchers. Women make invaluable contributions to cancer research yet underrepresented in research leadership. As the leading nonprofit funder of cancer research in the US, the American Cancer Society helps sustain women-led cancer research, launch new careers, and inspire a new generation of young women considering careers in science.
