Florida Man Raped Woman, Offered Her Yard Work As Penance
The 20-year-old man was sentenced to 50 years in prison for the sexual assault.

A Florida man who raped a woman at knifepoint and reportedly offered to do yard work for her as a way to make amends was sentenced to 50 years in prison, according to court records and a news report.
The man, 20-year-old Timothy Walding, was also declared a sexual predator, according to court records.
According to a police affidavit from October 2017, Walding broke into the victim's Boynton Beach home in the early morning hours dressed in black, wearing gloves and a wrap on his head that covered everything but his face, and raped the victim over the course of an hour and a half.

The South Florida Sun-Sentinel reported that the victim, a 35-year-old mother of two, testified in court on Monday about how the attack traumatized her and changed her life. Walding has not apologized, according to the Sun-Sentinel.
"Obviously it wasn't a spontaneous thing and I had this plan," Walding told the woman when she asked for his reason, the Sun-Sentinel reported, citing court records. The paper also reported that he asked the woman if he could fix something in her home or do yard work for her as a way to make amends.
