Palm Beach County School Calendar 2017-18: First Day Of School, Vacations, Conferences

The first day of school in Palm Beach County is August 14. Feel free to mark it on your calendar as one of the most dreaded days of the year for students and teachers — and feel free not to feel guilty about marking it as one of your favorites. The Palm Beach County School District has released its 2017-2018 calendar for public schools.

The calendar includes important dates such as winter and spring vacations, religious holidays, federal holidays, early dismissals and parent-teacher conferences.

Here is the full list of dates to know for this school year:

• 8/7 - 8/11: Pre-School for Teachers
• 8/14: First Day of School

September

• 9/4: No School (Labor Day)
• 9/21: No School (Fall Holiday)

October

• 10/13: End of First 9 Weeks
• 10/16: No School for Students (Teacher Work Day / Professional Development Day)
• 10/17: Beginning of Second 9 Weeks

November

• 11/2: End of Elementary First Trimester
• 11/3: No School for Students (Teacher Work Day / Professional Development Day)
• 11/6: Beginning of Elementary Second Trimester
• 11/20 - 11/24: No School (Thanksgiving)

December

• 12/21: End of Second 9 Weeks
• 12/22 - 12/29: No School (Winter Break)

January

• 1/1 - 1/5: No School (Winter Break)
• 1/8: No School for Students (Teacher Work Day / Professional Development Day)
• 1/9: Beginning of Third 9 Weeks
• 1/15: No School (MLK Day)

February

• 2/15: End of Second Elementary Trimester
• 2/16: No School for Students (Teacher Work Day / Professional Development Day)
• 2/19: Beginning of Third Elementary Trimester
• 2/26 - 2/28: FSA Writing

March

• 3/1 - 3/7: FSA Writing
• 3/16: End of Third 9 Weeks
• 3/19 - 3/23: No School (Spring Break)
