PGA Of America Servers Hacked, Report Says

The hack has apparently locked out officials from files related to the PGA championship underway in Missouri.

Hackers have infiltrated the servers of PGA of America, locking officials out of files containing creative materials related to the PGA Championship underway at the Bellerive Country Club in Missouri, according to a report in Golfweek.

A spokesman for PGA of America told Patch the organization had no comment on the issue as the situation was ongoing.

According to Golfweek, officials have also been locked out of files related to the upcoming Ryder Cup in France. PGA officials realized the systems had been hacked Tuesday morning, according to the report.

A person speaking on condition of anonymity told Golfweek that PGA does not intend to meet any extortion demands. According to the magazine, it's not believed that the hack has impacted the PGA championship.
