Registration Now Open For City Of West Palm Beach Summer Youth Basketball League

A skills clinic is planned for next month.

The City of West Palm Beach Parks and Recreation Department is currently accepting registrations for its summer 2021 youth basketball league. The league will be held at the South Olive Community Center (345 Summa Street), and details are as follows:

  • WHEN:
    • Skills clinic: week of May 24
    • Evaluations and draft: week of May 31
    • Practice starts: week of June 7
    • Games start: week of June 21
    • Playoffs begin: week of August 2
  • DIVISIONS (Grade by 2020/2021 school year)
    • Grades 1-3 (NO PLAYOFFS)
    • Grades 4-5
    • Grades 6-8
  • COST (Please note, fees will increase by $10 beginning May 22, 2021)
    • Resident: $60
    • Non-Resident: $75

Following the latest CDC recommendations for COVID-19, the Parks and Recreation Department has implemented the following safety guidelines for all sports leagues:

  • Every athlete and staff member will undergo a temperature check prior to each game
  • Participants must wear a mask until they reach the temperature checkpoint
  • Staff members are required to wear a mask
  • Hand sanitizer will be available for all participants
  • Spectators must watch from outside of the field’s fencing/court perimeter.
