West Palm Beach Road & Dock Closures Update: Week Of Feb. 7

CITY OF WEST PALM BEACH ENGINEERING ROAD CLOSURES

• Banyan Complete Streets Project- Phase 1: Banyan Blvd. between Australian Ave. and Quadrille Blvd. (through 2022): Intermittent eastbound traffic adjustments for mobility, landscaping, and utility improvements. Eastbound and westbound traffic on Banyan Blvd. will be maintained during the construction period.
• Mercer Ave. between Okeechobee Blvd. and Alpha St. (through Monday, February 22, 2021):

Local traffic only due to the installation of new underground utilities.

• 7th St. between Carver Ave. and Tamarind Ave. (through mid-March 2021): Intermittent lane closures east and westbound as part of the Tamarind Ave. Corridor Improvements Project. Flaggers will assist motorists in work zones.
• Division Ave. between 23rd St. and 25th St. (through March 2021): Lane closures for installation of a new water main. Access to all businesses will be maintained.
• 2400 Centre Park West Alley between Bristol Dr. to dead-end west of Australian Blvd. (through March 2021): Alley is closed for underground utility repair.
• South Olive Ave. between Southern Blvd. and Okeechobee Blvd. (through Wednesday, March 31, 2021): Intermittent lane closures for speed hump installation, starting at Southern Blvd., proceeding north on Olive Ave. to Okeechobee Blvd. Flaggers will assist motorists in work zones.
• Washington Rd. between Monceaux Rd. and Edgewood Dr. (through December 2021): Intermittent lane closures for full streetscape redesign, including new underground utilities and storm drainage improvements.

EVENTS ROAD CLOSURES

• 500 block Merchant Weekend produced by the DDA (Friday, February 12, 2021, 4:00 p.m. through Sunday, February 14, 2021, 10:00 p.m.): Road closure for the 500 block of Clematis St.
• West Palm Beach Antique Flea & Craft Market (Saturday, February 13, 2021, 5:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m.): Road closure for the 300 block of Clematis St.
• GreenMarket in the City Commons produced by City of West Palm Beach Community Events (Saturday, February 13, 2021, 5:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m.): Road closures on:

• North & South Clematis St.
• Narcissus St. between Banyan Blvd. & North Clematis St.
• Lantana Ave. between Banyan Blvd. & North Clematis St.
• 200 block of Clematis St. east of Pioneer Linens

PRIVATE ROAD CLOSURES

• Datura St. between Quadrille Blvd. and South Dixie Hwy. (through early 2022): Westbound lane closure for construction of a senior living facility. Motorists should use Clematis St. or Evernia St. as westbound alternatives.
• Rosemary Ave. between Evernia St. and Fern St. (through March 2021): Full road closure for completion of Rosemary Square Streetscape Project. Access to the west sidewalk and businesses will be maintained.

PALM BEACH COUNTY (PBC) ENGINEERING & PUBLIC WORKS ROAD CLOSURES IN CITY OF WPB

• North Australian Ave. south of Palm Beach Lakes Av e. (through Thursday, February 11, 2021): Northbound lanes closed, 7:00 p.m. until 5:00 a.m., Monday through Friday, for intersection improvements. Motorists will be detoured using 7th St, North Tamarind Ave., and Palm Beach Lakes Blvd.
• South Australian Ave. north of Mercer Ave. (until further notice): Periodic westbound traffic shifts for utility work.
• South Australian Ave. on the northeast corner of Okeechobee Rd. (until further notice): Periodic westbound traffic shifts for utility work.

• South Australian Ave. at the southeast corner of Belvedere Rd. (until further notice): Periodic daytime and nighttime lane closures affecting northbound Australian Ave. traffic, southbound U-turn lanes, and the eastbound left-turn lane at James. L. Turnage Blvd.
• South Australian Ave. south of Belvedere Rd. (until further notice): Periodic northbound right lane closures for sidewalk repairs.

• North Congress Avenue south of Executive Center Dr. (until further notice): Periodic eastbound right lane closures, and westbound U-Turn lane closures at 5th St. and Belvedere Rd.
• Okeechobee Blvd. and Jog Rd. (until further notice): Intermittent lane closures for intersection improvements.
• Palm Beach Lakes Blvd. and Australian Ave. (until further notice): Periodic lane closures for intersection improvements. Carver Ave. at Palm Beach Lakes Blvd. is closed. To access Carver Ave., use Australian Ave. south to 7th St., and go west to Carver Ave.
• North Congress Ave. south of Executive Center Dr. (until further notice): Periodic eastbound right lane closures, and westbound U-Turn lane closures at 5th St. and Belvedere Rd. for the installation of 5G poles and telecommunications equipment.
• Community Dr. between Haverhill Rd. and Village Blvd. (until further notice): Periodic westbound right lane closures and eastbound traffic shifts for FPL pole replacement.
• Roebuck Rd. from Jog Rd. to east of Haverhill Rd. (until further notice): Periodic lane closures for pavement markings.

• Greenwood Ave. one-half mile north of 45th St. (until further notice): Periodic southbound lane closures for driveway and sidewalk connections and utility work.
• Northlake Blvd. west of Ballen Isles Dr./Steeplechase Dr. to west of Beeline Hwy. (until further notice): Periodic westbound right lane closures for AT&T aerial work.

FLORIDA DEPT OF TRANSPORTATION (FDOT) ROAD CLOSURES IN CITY OF WPB

• Westbound Okeechobee Blvd. between South Sapodilla Ave. and South Rosemary Ave. (through Tuesday, February 9, 2021): One of four lanes closed, 9:00 a.m. until 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, for underground utility installation.
• Southbound North Quadrille Blvd. between Banyan Blvd. and 3rd St. (through Wednesday, February 10, 2021): Intermittent lane closures, 9:00 a.m. until 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, for underground utility and pole installation.
• Southbound South Dixie Hwy. between Belvedere Rd. and Monceaux Rd. (through Monday, February 15, 2021): One of two lanes closed, 9:00 a.m. until 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, for concrete pole and equipment installation.
• Southbound South Dixie Hwy. between Belvedere Rd. and Monceaux Rd. (through Friday, March 19, 2021): One of two lanes closed, 9:00 a.m. until 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, for underground utility installation.
• Westbound Okeechobee Blvd. between South Sapodilla Ave. and South Rosemary Ave. (through Wednesday, March 31, 2021): One of four lanes closed from 9:00 a.m. until 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, for underground conduit installation.
• Vehicle Detection & Traffic Signals Improvement Project (through Summer 2021): This improvement project is upgrading traffic signalization with video vehicle detection (camera) systems at area intersections. Motorists should expect slower traffic and construction activity at the following intersections:
  • 45th St. at Corporate Way
  • 45th St. at Haverhill Rd.
  • Quadrille Blvd. at Hibiscus St.

• Flagler Dr. between Southern Blvd. and Worth Ct. North. (through summer 2021): will be closed for roadway reconstruction as part of the Southern Blvd. bridge replacement project. Access is maintained for local traffic only. Flagler Dr. sidewalks, from Southern Blvd. to Worth Ct. N., and the Southern Blvd. south sidewalk, from Washington Rd. to Flagler Dr., will remain closed through summer 2021. Detours:
• Traffic going north of Flagler Dr. should:
• Go west on Worth Ct. N. to Washington Rd.;
• Go north on Washington Rd. to Southern Blvd;
• Go east on Southern Blvd. to Flagler Dr.
• Traffic going south on Flagler Dr. should:
• Go west on Southern Blvd. to Washington Rd.;
• Go South on Washington Rd. to Worth Ct N.;
• Go east on Worth Court N. to Flagler Dr.

• Pedestrians using Flagler Dr. between Southern Blvd. and N. Worth Ct. should:

• Use the east Flagler Dr. sidewalk.

• Pedestrians using Southern Blvd., between Washington Rd. and Flagler Dr. should:

• Use the north Southern Blvd. sidewalk.

CITY OF WEST PALM BEACH DOCKS

• Currie Park Boat Docks and Ramps (2400 North Flagler Dr.): Ramps are open daily, sunrise to sunset.
• Lake Mangonia Park Boat Ramps (2957 North Australian Ave): Ramps are open daily, sunrise to sunset.
• Clematis St. Docks (South Clematis St. at South Flagler Dr.): Docks are open daily, from 5:00 a.m. until midnight.
• Fern St. Dock (Fern St. at South Flagler Dr): Dock is open daily, from 5:00 a.m. until midnight. The Fern St. Dock is available for day docking only. No overnight dockage is allowed for boats, dinghies, or kayaks.
