Public Meeting To Discuss Roundabout Project Near Alonso High

WESTCHASE, FL -- Hillsborough County Public Works is proposing an improvement project at the intersection of Memorial Highway and Montague Street in the Westchase area to improve safety and traffic flow.

Residents will have an opportunity to learn more about the project during a public meeting on Wednesday, May 15 at 6:30 p.m. in the Alonso High School cafeteria, 8302 Montague St., Tampa. The meeting will have an open house format with project displays available for viewing. Attendees can review, ask questions and comment on the proposed design for the $1 million project.

The county is recommending completion of the roundabout to allow traffic to exit to westbound Memorial Highway and updating the existing roundabout to current standards, including additional pedestrian and bicycle safety features.
