Public Meeting Explores Tanglewood Drainage Improvements
Residents can learn about a proposed project to address stormwater drainage issues in Hillsborough County on August 18.

From Hillsborough County News:
Hillsborough County, FL. – Residents can learn about a proposed project to address stormwater drainage issues on and around Tanglewood Lane in Town ‘N Country during a public information meeting on Thursday, August 18. Hosted by Hillsborough County Public Works, the meeting will begin at 6:30 p.m. and will take place at Bay Crest Elementary, 4925 Webb Road in Tampa. The meeting will have an open house format, and attendees can review and comment on the proposed plans with Public Works representatives.
Public Works will present details of the $2.1 million Capital Improvement project to area residents. The project is part of the Lower Sweetwater Creek Master Plan implementation, a long-term program to improve stormwater conditions in the basin. Plans include constructing a new drainage pipe to convey some of the area stormwater – which is currently discharging to Pepper Mound Creek, west under Memorial Highway – into the existing drainage system to Woods Creek. Approximately 2,100 feet of new 60-inch stormwater pipeline would be installed along Tanglewood Lane and Civic Road, from Gateway Drive to the Memorial Highway Access Road. Work is expected to begin in spring 2017 and should be completed by fall 2017.
