Wrong-Way Driver Pulled Over On Veterans Expressway

A 28-year-old Pinellas Park woman was arrested for driving under the influence after driving the wrong way on the Veterans Expressway.

TAMPA, FL — A 28-year-old Pinellas Park resident has been arrested for driving under the influence after driving the wrong way on the Veterans Expressway.

At 1:22 a.m. Monday, Oct. 14, the Florida Highway Patrol received reports of a driver traveling south in the northbound lanes of the expressway.

Trooper Jim Bregon responded and came across a Nissan Altima, which he pulled over near Gunn Highway.

Marileydi Gonzalez-Meza was charged with DUI, driving with a suspended licenses and driving the wrong way.
