Atlanta Nightclub Shooting: Slain Victims Identified

Someone in the crowd became angry and opened fire after the two men climbed onstage between performances, Atlanta police said.

ATLANTA, GA — Two men slain shot to death at The Masquerade club at Underground Atlanta over the weekend were identified on Thursday. Ewell Ynoa, 21, and Giovan Diaz, 22, died on Sunday, The Fulton County Medical Examiner's Office said.

Someone in the crowd became angry and opened fire after the two men climbed onstage between performances, Atlanta police said. Deputy Police Chief Darryl Tolleson called it "a confrontation that went bad."

Police on Wednesday arrested Jonathan Bautista, 23, on charges including two counts of murder. The suspect did not know either of the victims, Tolleson said.
