FORT STEWART, GA —An accident early Sunday morning kills three soldiers and sends three others to the base hospital. the soldiers are part of the 1st Armored Brigade.

The Army has not released many details beyond that the soldiers were on a Bradley Fighting Vehicle at the time of the incident.

Maj. General Tony Aguto, commander of the Army's 3rd Infantry Division, says today "is a heartbreaking day" for everyone on he base. "We are extremely saddened by the loss of three Dogface Soldiers, and injuries to three more.

The names of the ix soldiers have not yet been released.
