Georgia Amber Alert For Missing Forsyth Teen

The teen left a message for her parents saying she and her boyfriend are going to Arkansas, authorities said.

FORSYTH, GA — An Amber Alert has been issued for a 16-year-old girl who was reported missing out of Forsyth Friday night, the Monroe County Sheriff's Office said.

The teen, Alyssa Cole, left a message for her parents that said she and her boyfriend, 19-year-old Steven Meyer, are going to Arkansas, the sheriff's office said. Authorities say a 9mm Berretta pistol was missing from Cole's home and Meyer is known to possess an AR-15 style rifle.

The pair were last seen in Monroe County around 2 p.m. on Friday.

Meyer’s is known to drive a dark gray 2003 GMC Yukon with a Georgia Tag of ALW 3567, and the vehicle does not have a hood over the engine compartment.

Authorities are asking for the public’s assistance in locating Col. Anyone with information can call 478-994-7010.
