Patricia Houston, Founder and COO of MMR LIVE, will offer insights and advice during a series of small business development workshops designed to help entrepreneurs grow their businesses.
The offerings are part of the city’s CollabSouth initiative, which provides office space and resources for entrepreneurs who are starting a business. Houston’s goal is to help small and medium-size companies gather meaningful feedback to drive purposeful experience design and lead to more loyalty and revenue.
Houston’s first webinar, “Innovation Amongst the Chaos: Harnessing Pandemic-Grounded Learnings for Business Growth,” is scheduled for 2 p.m. on June 18. The session focuses on lessons entrepreneurs can learn from the COVID-19 pandemic to grow their businesses.

“I’m a South Fulton native, and it’s grown so much since my time at Creekside High School,” Houston said.
The city, which started in 2017, has grown exponentially in recent years, including nearly 16 percent since 2010. According to estimates, the city is expected to continue its growth trajectory in the next few years.

“Research and user feedback can be intimidating for entrepreneurs,” Houston added. “But there’s a lot that business owners can achieve, on their own to create a better experience for their customers. My goal is to empower people to gather feedback in a way that’s most actionable and make the whole process less daunting.”
Houston will present “Customer Research Basics: DIY Approaches for Integrating Direct Feedback into Your Business” on June 25 and “Becoming ExperienceBuilt: Build Brand Loyalty by Starting Small to Build Big” on July 2. The webinars include practical tips for organizations and ideas they can complete themselves and tips for when outsourcing to a research professional makes sense.
The webinars are free. To register, visit CollabSouth.Eventbrite.com.
