Acworth Boat Ramp on Lake Allatoona Closing Next Week

ACWORTH, GA — The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Allatoona Lake Project is scheduled to close Galt’s Ferry Day Use Area and boat ramp closing Sept. 12 and reopening Sept. 18 due to paving of parking lots.

The Galt’s Ferry Day Use Area is located on 7299 Rocky Lane in Acworth.

Boaters and visitors are being asked to use other locations to launch boats, fish, and picnic for activities. Other locations are Payne Ramp or Victoria Day Use Area until reopening of Galt’s Ferry Day Use Area.
