Acworth Man Wins Half-Marathon
A Harrison alum captured the full marathon the same day in Savannah.

Reuben Mwei, 25, of Acworth won the half-marathon that was part of the inaugural Savannah Rock 'n' Roll Marathon on Saturday.
Mwei is originally from Kenya and ran for Adams State College in Colorado, the Savannah Morning News reported.
He finished the 13.1 miles in one hour, four minutes, eight seconds.

He wasn't the only man from the area who succeeded in Savannah.

The 20-year-old Kennesaw man and alumnus finished the race in two hours, 29 minutes, five seconds, the Savannah Morning News reported. He was almost five minutes ahead of the second-place runner.
O'Connell started running only in his sophomore year at Kennesaw State and never for any team, he told the Morning News.
