Acworth to Be Highlighted on National Television

The world will be watching Acworth Wednesday afternoon.

The world’s top professional wakeboarders descended on Lake Acworth last month to open the 22nd season of the MasterCraft Pro Wakeboard Tour. That event will be televised at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday on the NBC Sports Network, according to a post on the Acworth Parks, Recreation and Community Resource Department's Facebook page.

“This nationally televised event has a significant economic impact on our local economy," James D. Albright, the city's parks director, said last month.
