To mark Pet Supplies Plus’s official entrance into the neighborhood, store co-owners Sam Delaney and Keith Wright are inviting families to a grand-opening celebration that will include sweepstakes, great sale prices and fun for kids and pets. Sweepstakes will be held throughout the grand opening weekend, and will give neighbors a shot at a free, one-year supply of Purina dog or cat food. On Saturday, June 3, free scratch cards between the amounts of $5-$50 will be given out and on Sunday, June 4, the first 100 neighbors who enter the store will receive a coupon for a free small bag of dog or cat food – valid on any brand in the store. Additionally, all weekend free self-service dog washes will be available.

The new, locally owned and operated Pet Supplies Plus location will offer area residents an easy-to-shop environment, offering a broad range of food from premium items to basic grocery products, and a wide variety of pet toys, equipment, fish and critters. Additionally, the new neighborhood pet store will carry an extensive variety of ‘Made in the USA’ pet consumable such as wet and dry food, treats, rawhide, chews and more – all at great prices, and with a price-match guarantee. The 6,428-square-foot store will also feature a self-service dog wash, and a carry-out service to help neighbors carry heavy purchases.

“Pets play an important role in our neighbors’ lives and so, we want to help our neighbors take care of them in the best way possible,” Delaney said. “Our store has something for every neighbor, and you can always expect to receive outstanding service. Our goal is to provide our neighbors and their pets with the best pet products and resources, along with professional, friendly service.”

Pet Supplies Plus maintains a professional, experienced and knowledgeable local team. Their extensive training ensures that all team members are able to answer a broad range of questions about household pets – from dogs and cats to birds, reptiles and fishes – and are experts in natural and holistic foods. Shoppers can also take advantage of the free Preferred Pet Club, which offers members the benefit of regular coupons and monthly specials – resulting in big savings.

Founded on the belief that convenient, quality service for busy consumers was lacking in the pet industry, retail veterans Jack Berry and Harry Shallop opened the first Pet Supplies Plus in Redford, Michigan in 1988. Since then, the neighborhood-style pet store has become a household name in 31 states.
